Italian Paths of Culture Press (IPOC) publishes books by prominent authors at the top of their field, inspiring readers to understand, explore and improve their world.
 
The featured book this season is Half of What I Know, by award-winning writer and author Christiana Langenberg. She teaches English and women's studies at Iowa State University, and taught at the universities of Minnesota and Colorado. "I'm always witnessing characters and story potential in everyday events."
 
Half of What I Know shows that even the small episodes of life leave an indelible mark. "Langenberg's talent and imagination are so powerful, it is impossible to overlook the vision and meticulous craft she inscribes in each of these stories," said Deborah Marie Poe, fiction editor of Drunken Boat Online Journal of Art and Literature.
 
Langenberg, who has a master's in English/creative writing from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to the U.S. with her Dutch father and Italian mother. Her accolades include the Chelsea Award for Short Fiction, the Drunken Boat Panliterary Award for Fiction and the IPOC Translation Prize.
 
Her work has appeared in American Literary Review, The Blue Moon Review,Carve, Chelsea, Glimmer Train, Green Mountains Review, Literary Salt, Lullwater Review and Storyglossia. "I've always thought in physical images and words for them. It's how I see the world, and how I make meaning of it."
